acrylic painting: waterlilies

Started the painting last week. This is to be handed in as the final project of the semester. I thought I would take stages of its development, so you guys can have a clearer picture of how I'm doing it.
This is stage one, I wasn't very confident about placing the colours yet. I'm using palette knife to do the painting.

And this is stage two, where I had introduced the various blues.

At stage three, I'm trying to add details to the painting, especially the leaves. Still very rough and coarse, will refine later.

Working on the same canvas. Thought I should complete the background first before I started on the waterlilies. Used ultramarine, pthalo blue, emerald green, burnt umber and titanium white to work on it. A little purple was also added.
